Wearing Daddy's Shoes

Recently, Elise learned sign language. One of the sign language caught her attention.

"SHOES" . She most interested is not her own shoes but her Daddy Shoes.

The moment her daddy take off his shoes, her eye attention was on it..and wait till when we busy and our eye not on her, she went to wear it ..interesting when you see small feet wear on Big Shoes..:P

Buying favorite Mini Tart at Bakery Shop

After Dinner, We intended to bring Elise to playground for some exercise before sky turn dark.

Who know this girl smart to bully daddy,wanting him to bring her to bakery shop buy her mini tart.

Her daddy has a soften heart. So He brought her there.

To my surprise, this little girl know exactly what to do when she is at bakery shop.

Finally she got her favorite mini tart!!

Good Practice - Using chopstick to eat Mee Hoon

Today My Mother in law cooked Mee Hoon and Porridge for our dinner.

All this while, When I let Elise tried Mee hoon, her first reaction is throw out and reject it completely. However this time round, I would like to try it again and see what her respond towards Mee Hoon.  Deep in my heart, I know there is Porridge to back up if this time round she reject it again.

Without much expectation, I simply used chopstick to feed her mee hoon. That's much more easy and convenience for me.

First feed, she taste it and eat it. Great!She did not reject!

While I prepared for second feed, she suddenly grabbed away my chopstick and want to eat by herself.I was shocked by her fast action!!

However, Since she would like to try new utensil -chopstick, why not? Indeed, It was a new exploration and experience to her.

So I did not grabbed back the chopstick. Instead I tried to give her a helping hand by holding a bowl near her. 

Wow, she can hold both chopstick together and she started digging the noodle.

Surprisingly every dug, she managed get herself the mee hoon.

Believed she catch some of the tactic of using chopstick through her curiosity and long time observation.Well done baby!!

Science Center Singapore

After Breakfast at McDonald, we proceed to Science Center Singapore.

First we visited The Sound Exhibition.

Elise is not dare to play the Eco Tube for the Eco is loud. But I personally quite attracted by it . Actually What you saw in the picture is front view. Actually its like very long and big and heavy horn made by metal if you see from side view. 

After explored to few sound instruments and some science on how to make sound, we proceed to Eco Garden.

Too bad, is a rainy day, we can't go to the tree house and water ark. We have to stay at indoor. So we will reserve these two for next visit :)

In the Eco garden, there had one set up one booth for kid drawing.

So we encouraged Elise to join and coloring with other kids.

Refer to the Top Left picture, you see one little girl wearing pink color shirt. Her named is Dorothy. Standing behind her is her mummy named Dee. They are our friend that so coincident they plan to bring their daughter to science center same day as us.


Great that we have more friends around and make this visitation more interactive and fun.

Though you may thought science center might not suitable for children...But to my own opinion, I found it was a great exposure to children and adult. Is a great learning place for them/us to see and learn and hear what, where, why, how, when of thing surround us. We have a great time interactive with Elise through playing, telling, teaching,talking on 'what we see', 'why we do what we do'... help her see thing on cause and effect. Hope this will lay down a foundation on Elise. Learning should be every place, every time. It all lay on your heart and attitude. :) Agree? !! 

Elise enjoy McDonald's Hotcakes

We have our breakfast at McDonald before proceed to Science center.

To my surprise, Elise enjoy the McDonald's hotcakes so much. May it be plain or dipped with marble syrup. She almost finished one piece of hotcake. 

( I can't decline that day the hotcakes is super fresh and when it dipped with marble syrup,it make the Hotcake perfect:) )

After finished her hotcake, she used stirrer to dig the marble syrup and put into her mouth and taste it -non-stop :P


When I saw her way of eating, Again I can't help but keep candid-shot on her pose of eating.

Mummy also very glad that you like hotcakes. This time round you finish the food without much playing.

You have grown up a lot :)

Elise's Favorite ~Sweet corn~ (^0^)

My little Girl  enjoy the sweet corn so much that

 she can eat it in different ways.

I love to see the way she eat sweet corn.

Love you! Baby :)

She hold the sweetcorn and suck the soup within it. After that she eat sweetcorn row by row.
To my surprise, this time round she did not throw out the corn skin but finish up the sweet corn.
she even know to change the position of the sweetcorn ensure she won't miss out any part of it.

Mummy glad that you have improved in eating veggie stuff. Baby, Gambateh!! (^_^)

First N.D.P Rehersal

Today is a challenging day!

How to say ?

We went to N.D.P.(National Day Parade )- First Rehearsal . We got the tickets from my hubby colleague (Ms Yvonne ). So nice of her blessed us the tickets for our first time exploration in this Live event as a family.

The place was crowded. Some more the weather was changing unpredictably (for now is raining season). So, can you imagine both of us carrying own bag fulled with baby stuff with pram and toddler and goodie bags , climbing the staircase and squeezing into the crowd.

It was really testing my stamina ,patient and flexibility!!!

Finally we made it!! Wow !! Live atmosphere was so much different from what I saw from tv

Eye viewed the atmosphere and Ear heard the audience high peak noise full with excitement that lead and flow by the program.

Anyway, we did not stay long for the sound audio was too loud that I suddenly felt my gal heart pumping very fast and her facial expression was stunt and quiet and she kept using her both hands to cover her both ears.This made us decided to have a quick view, quick feel and quick move.

Overall it was a whole new experience to three of us and we enjoyed the short stay there.

The nation love the country because the country love the nation . Unity, respect bring the people , nation to harmony. People lets work it hand in hand by showing gracious and tolerance to each other.

Art - Gluing and pasting pictures

*** Is Art time ***

I cut the pictures out from tissue boxes and used it as pictures for Elise to do the Art.

This time we used glue stick. I expected she will play with glue stick more than how to use glue stick paste the picture. :P

Beginning, she was very obedient and listen to my instruction on "How to paste the glue behind the pictures and turn it and paste it on her drawing book"

After a demo and her tried by her own, she managed to catch what I taught.

You may see she used few ways to paste the glue on the pictures. 

When about finished, She started to play the glue as I expected. 

She was very curious why the glue is so sticky especially when her fingers touched on the glue and

both fingers will stick together and whatever she touched, it will just stick to her. :P

Ha. I really enjoy seeing her action and reaction.

'To my surprise, she suddenly paste the glue all over her hand ..OMG! What is she doing?

What experiment she want to do? 

Without waiting, I stopped her from gluing herself and immediate I used wet tissue to wipe it off before the glue paste all over sofa and clothes.

Exploring is good but to certain extend. :)  She might need to know where is her boundary...and consequence. :D

Anyway we have great time gluing and  pasting.

After we washed our hands, she started to admire her drawing.

She even started calling each cartoon character after me like: Lion, Hippo, Giraffe, Zebra, Penguin...

This is another new way for her recognized and love animals through her art :)

Elise's First Homework - Circle

Elise has a first homework that we need to do together.
You can see a big word written "Parental Involvement" right? hee..

This time I got to teach Elise how to use a Shape 'Circle' to form a thing :D
Brainstorm!!....

Finally I decided to teach Elise something she had learned.

Bear, Caterpillar , Medal, Sun, Sticker....which help her easy related to shape 'Circle'.

Though Elise's attention span is short, but we have great time making her homework done.

At least she know her art is made from circle/round shape..
