Elise does a Basic Health Check on us

Today my girl really cute...you know what she does?...

Before we go to bed, Elise acts like her school teachers...'Do a health check on us'!! :)

Through her action, I can see what teacher has done to children in school and it become so routine to them that Elise even can imitate out what she experienced.

First, check our hands, ...(open both our hand widely, check any red spots..?)

Second, check our forehead...( feel our body temperature)

Third, check our mouth...(Ah ~~)

Forth, check our chest...

Fifth, wash our hands inside out...( After pass the checking, (yeah~pass !) we can go to bed and sleep !)

....... Ops !!(we are not allow to sleep) she keep repeat the checking On me and her daddy again and again ... we take turn letting her check.. And she is so happy that she can do a check on us..

After few time check on each of us.. Finally we passed the check and can go to bed and sleep...

Haha..end of her playing sessions..:)

Draw her hand shape

This two days, Elise come out an idea to draw her hand shape out...


You can see how focus she is ...
She even try to put her leg on paper and draw her leg shape and use my hand and her grandma hand to draw out the shape...

I WANT & PLEASE

How is Elise and what is her recently stories? !

Oh that too many jokes, surprises done by my little girl :)

One of the surprise is :-

This two week I guess she learned a lot of word and I heard these two words always come out from her mouth: I WANT

Yes! Is the word 'I Want'

When she want the thing on our hands or want to eat what we eat or want to watch her favorite DVD, or cry for something, she will say 'I want this, I want draw, I want milk , I want that ..."

Think she found that these word is powerful that she can use it to express all her want..:)

When we refuse to give her, another word will come out from ger mouth, guess what?
Yes, you might guess it right. Is the word -"Please".

She can keep pleasing you till your heart melt n willing to fulfill what she want ! :)
So me as parent, got to very firm to her to certain thing even she say thousand of please and of course whenever I reject I always need to come with good reason why I say no.

Ha this cute little girl really enlighten my day when I told her the reason why I said no she will imitate me ( my serious look, my tone, my expression, my word ) and repeat to herself  why No. :) Ha ha. Of coz she is not managed to said complete sentence as I said but she is managed to catch some of my key word and repeat it out.. And me as parent, believe she understand the reason :) therefore she won't make noise to some extend.  Her imitations always make me wonder "Am I that serious and fierce when I guiding and teaching her...?????"

Jurong Bird Park (P1)

Last Saturday we went to Jurong Bird Park with Dee's Family and this time round we decided not to let our children play water due to the health issue of our child (Elise still having cough whereas Dee's daughter (Dorothy) just recovered from fever and diarrhea.)




















Is a sunny day ( hot day). We encourage if you want to bring your family / kids to Jurong Bird Park, please go in the morning to avoid the hot sun. Please bring along some snack , plenty of water, extra clothes to change , umbrella, hat, fan.

This help you along the visit. No worry if you did not prepare any snack there are still some stall selling snack or cafe inside for you to take a break :)

Ok. Here we go.





When we reached Jurong Bird Park, it was already 10:30am. There was penguin feeding just right after the entrance so we went for a look..



























































After finished watching feeding penguin, we went to Pool Amphitheatre to watch first Birds n Buddies show to start our visit.

Here we reached. Through the picture you can see the crowd...and everybody is finding a good seat to watch this show.





Elise first time enjoy the show so much and she even stand up and watch..
She even give applause to them :)
Hm..my girl has grown up a lot...Recall the last time when she came to the show, she kept make noise want to leave the place..







































After a show, we went to 'Lory Loft'..to feed bird..

Elise was so excited and want to feed and touch the birds (without fear)..
I am so proud of her and I am so happy to see her love the birds so much...

As mummy, I always a bit sensitive, I afraid the birds will hurt her and want to keep her a bit far from birds. That make my girl even more frustrated for she just want a bit closer to birds. OK. At the end I give in.

I asked Her daddy to bring her nearer..indeed He even let Elise hold the plastic bowl to feed bird..and my girl is so happy that she can feed the bird by herself.

Hm...Sometime I really need to learn to let go to let the child to experience by herself...

After feeding Birds, is nap time for Elise and is lunch time for us. While Elise drinking milk, we slowly walk back to entrance. We decided to end the visit of Jurong Bird Park and continue the visit some other day. The weather is getting hotter..me and hubby whole body already sweat...However we enjoy this half a day visit that draw us a step nearer to the God creation.

Along the road, we passed by Penguin habitats and owl habitats.

Nearby gift shop, there are some Toy machines and we let Elise have a short play there to end her day visit at Bird Park.

First time make muffin

Today we had great time in Elise school. It was Elise first time make real muffin. I was quite excited to work this together with Elise.

The teachers had already prepared all the ingredients and instruction and well put on the table that made me and others parent easy guide Elise and other children make real muffin  .

First we poured half cup of brown sugar into the bowl.

(^_^) : Elise thought is the food and about spoon out and put into her mouth ...Ha ha that made me and teachers had a great laugh. After explanation to Elise that the ingredients was to make muffin and not ready for eat.. Then only she did not put it into her mouth.

Then we cracked the egg and poured it inside the cup . Subsequently we lightly beaten the egg. Elise enjoy beaten it with fork. :)



After that we put the flour, oil, milk , butter, apple, brown sugar, jam, egg inside the metal bowl. Elise started stirring...(FYI, We just used cup to measure all the ingredients and everything is estimated.)

Elise insist want to stir the ingredient by her own without my help .. So no choice let her do it ..
When the ingredient become thick & sticky , Elise tried to stir with more strength ..
Of course now is my turn to come in and help her stirred to make sure all ingredient in the bowl are well mixed.

Lastly we need to spoon the battle into the muffin cup, again my girl want to do it by her own.. So she put the first spoon and I filled up the cup... In few minutes time , finally we done...we sprinkle some cinamon brown sugar on top as decoration.

Dada...see the baked muffin...Taste good..just a bit oily...
