Day 1-
Family Trip to Taiwan - 2/10/12 (Tuesday)
By 6:30 am we departed from home ,taking cab to Changi Airport
We checked in 2 hours before departure time 8:55am, we had some light breakfast before on board.

We reached Tao Yuan Airport at 1:45pm.

After come out from the departure hall, we saw our cab driver ( Mr Chan) , holding the white board card writing my hubby's name and welcoming us.
Along the way, we have fun chitchat with Mr Chan.
We reached Hotel about 4pm. After check in and settle down the luggage
About 5 pm - we have our Dinner@The Modern Toilet (Chinese: 便所主题餐厅)

After dinner about 7 pm +, we decided take MRT ,travelling to Houshan Bei Mrt to shop@Wu Fen Pu.
About 9 pm+, we took cab home and rest.

b.Buy sim card, youth card and easy card
-Apply for youth travel card (青年旅遊卡) @ the tourism passenger service center in the airport which gives your discounts at selected restaurants and tourist sites.
-Apply for EasyCard (悠遊卡) @ MRT stations or 7/11 store - a stored-valued smart card used to integrate fare collection for various transports by one card. NT$500, which includes $400 stored-value and $100 refundable deposit. Think: Oyster Card but for a cheaper and cleaner Tube.
-Buy the Dageda 3G data sim card at counter in terminal 2 of Tao Yuan Airport.
Once get out of the arrival hall, turn left & look for counter selling sim cards. Dageda counter next to
Zhong Hua counter. Paid NT300 for 5 days unlimited data.(as per tripadvisor info, will find out more that day)
Note: all 3 telecos have 3G Data Sims. DaGeDa is slightly more expensive for the unlimited data plan BUT are ONLY one that can provide both telecommunication services & 3G data together.
c. For cab services, call +886935-247-935 (Mr. Chan Jun Ting 陈俊廷), he charges NT$988 one way (Airport-Taipei city centre).
d. Hotel : Suggest Taipei Rainbow Hotel - located within Ximending, walking distance to mrt about 5 to 10 mins. clean and good service hotel.
e. Food Must Try In Taiwan other than fried snack :
Fresh fruit especially Guava, tomato, pineapple,....super nature sweet, juicy
f. Other night activities
i. visit night market ( Ningxia nm, Shi Lin nm, wu fen pu, rao he nm, shida nm, shi lin nm)
ii Also can go 24 hour carefour to shop some n buy necessarily like 沙茶酱, cup noodle 来一客 ,杂 菜干
Info： Carrefour (家樂福) Xi Men Ding branch is open 24 hrs.
Address : No. 1 Gueilin Rd. 桂林路1號 (From Ximending MRT Station, walk South on Zhonghua Rd Sec 1 for about 5 mins to the road junction with Gueilin Rd.)
